The adults, larval stages of the parasite live in nasal airways of canids and visceral organs of herbivors respectively. The aim of this study was to determine the seroprevalence of L. serrata nymph infection in sheep from west of Iran by indirect enzyme-linked immunosrobent assay (ELISA). Blood samples (n=1048) were taken from sheep of two province (Ilam (n= 598) and Kermanshah (n=450)) in west of Iran ( at least five different cities of each province). The collected sera were tested by ELISA using excretory-secretory antigens of L. serrata nymph and anti IgG sheep conjugate. Data were classified according to sex, ages of the animals (1-<2, 2-<3, 3-≥4 years), area, and sheep herds with or without dogs, analyzed using statistical software (SPSS). Seroprevalence of L. serrata infection in sheep was 30.5% (317 of 1048) from west of Iran, 27.8%(125 of 450 ) from Ilam and 32.1% (192 of 598) from Kermanshah provinces. There was significant difference in prevalence among five different area of two provinces( P<0.001). Of the animal males 31.5% (165 of 523) and females 28.9% (152 of 525) were infected with L. serrata. Infection with the parasite was not significantly associated with gender of the animals (p>0.05). Seroprevalence was significantly increased with the increase of age, lower (12.1%) in 1-<2 years and higher (49.3%) in 3-≥4 years old of the animals( P<0.01). There was significant difference in prevalence among sheep herds with (39.8%) and without (23.4%) dogs (P<0.01). This is the first report in assessment of L. serrata infection in sheep by ELISA. Relatively high prevalence of L. serrata infection in the sheep is reflection of linguatolosis in dogs from the areas, it must be consider to all progamms for control and reduction of the infection in definitive and intermediate hosts.}, keywords = {"Sheep,Linguatulla serrata,Antigen,ELISA,Iran"}, title_fa = {شیوع سرمی آلودگی به نوچه لینگواتولا سراتا درگوسفندان غرب ایران}, abstract_fa = {    لینگواتولا سراتا، انگل‌ زئونوزی است که بالغ‌ آن در مجاری تنفسی سگ‌سانان و مراحل لاروی در احشاء علفخواران زندگی می‌کند.  این مطالعه برای تعیین میزان شیوع لینگواتولا سراتا در گوسفندان غرب ایران و با روش الایزا انجام گرفت.  تعداد 1048 نمونه‌ خون از گوسفندان دو استان غربی ایران، ایلام و کرمانشاه و از هر استان (حداقل از 5 شهر) گرفته شد.  سرم‌ها با الایزا و استفاده از آنتی‌ژن دفعی - ترشحی نوچه‌های لینگواتولا سراتا و کنژوگه ضد IgG گوسفندی آزمایش شد.  داده‌ها با توجه به جنس، مناطق، سن (2>-1، 3>-2 و 4≤-3 سال) و وجود سگ در گله با نرم‌افزار SPSS مورد آنالیز آماری قرار گرفت.  از مجموع 1048 نمونه سرم از گوسفندان غرب ایران 317 نمونه (5/30 درصد) و به تفکیک از 450 نمونه از گوسفندان استان کرمانشاه 125 نمونه (8/27‌ درصد) و از 598 نمونه از استان ایلام 192 نمونه (1/32 درصد) به لینگواتولاسراتا آلوده بودند.  در رابطه با شیوع آلودگی و مناطق تا حدی اختلاف معنی‌داری مشاهده شد (01/0P<).  از کل تعداد 523 نمونه از جنس نر، 165 نمونه (5/31 درصد) و از 525 نمونه از جنس ماده، 152 نمونه (9/28 درصد) آلوده بودند.  بین میزان آلودگی و جنسیت اختلاف معنی‌داری مشاهده نگردید (05/0P>).  کم‌ترین میزان شیوع در گروه سنی 2>-1 سال با 1/12 درصد و بیش‌ترین میزان در گروه سنی 4≤-3 سال با 3/49 درصد مشاهده شد.  در گروه‌‌های سنی اختلاف معنی‌داری در میزان آلودگی با افزایش سن مشاهده گردید (01/0P<).  در گله‌های دارا و فاقد سگ به ترتیب میزان آلودگی 8/39 درصد و 4/23 درصد نشان داده شد.  بین میزان آلودگی و بودن سگ در گله اختلاف معنی‌داری مشاهده گردید (01/0P<).  این اولین گزارش در بررسی آلودگی گوسفند به روش الایزا است.  با توجه به شیوع نسبتاً بالای آلودگی لینگواتولا سراتا در بین گوسفندان که به طور غیرمستقیم نشان دهنده‌ی آلودگی سگ‌های منطقه به این انگل می‌باشد، اجرای برنامه‌های کنترلی در میزبانان واسط و اصلی ضروری به نظر می‌رسد.}, keywords_fa = {گوسفند,لینگواتولا سراتا,آنتی ژن,الایزا,ایران}, url = {https://www.ivj.ir/article_16409.html}, eprint = {https://www.ivj.ir/article_16409_7adabe8db65d2884816d9d3b4f491253.pdf} }
