Forty-eight healthy, Lohmann broiler chickens (Gallus gallus domesticus) divided into two groups (n=24) and four subgroups each (n=6). The birds in group I and II received lidocaine with infusion rates of 15 and 25 mg/kg/min, respectively. Ten minutes before lidocaine administration, in each subgroup, one of the treatments of normal saline or midazolam at the dose rate of 0.25, 0.5 and 1.0 mg/kg were injected into the pectoral muscle. With occurrence of the signs related to the toxicity (convulsion and/or respiratory arrest), lidocaine infusion was disrupted and the administered dose of lidocaine was calculated. In group I, convulsion was observed at the dose of 38.0 ± 13.0 mg/kg in the birds received normal saline while in midazolam-treated birds, respiratory arrest without convulsion occurred at the dose of 36.1 ± 12.4, 39.9 ± 15.3, and 37.1 ± 9.1 mg/kg, respectively. In group II, convulsion occurred saline-treated animals at the dose of 23.4 ± 4.8 mg/kg. The birds that received midazolam showed respiratory arrest without convulsion at the dose of 31.1 ± 3.8, 31.3 ± 3.8 and 28.2 ± 5.3 mg/kg, respectively. The birds which received lidocaine at the lower infusion rate showed toxicity signs at the significantly higher doses. Based on the results of the current study, at lower infusion rate, premedication with midazolam protected chickens against convulsion but it had no effect on the threshold of toxicity (respiratory arrest) following administration of high doses of lidocaine.}, keywords = {Midazolam,Lidocaine,Toxicity,chickens}, title_fa = {بررسی اثر میدازولام بر مسمومیت ناشی از تجویز دوزهای بالای لیدوکائین در ماکیان (Gallus gallus domesticus)}, abstract_fa = {    هدف از مطالعهی حاضر بررسی اثر میدازولام بر مسمومیت ناشی از لیدوکائین در ماکیان بود.  تعداد 48 قطعه مرغ (Gallus gallus domesticus) تخمگذار نژاد لوهمن در دو گروه (تعداد=24) و چهار زیر گروه (تعداد=6) تقسیم شدند.  مرغها در دو گروه I و II انفوزیون لیدوکائین را به ترتیب با سرعت 15 و 25 میلیگرم بر کیلوگرم در دقیقه دریافت کردند.  10 دقیقه قبل از تجویز لیدوکائین، در هر زیر گروه، یکی از درمانهای نرمال سالین یا میدازولام با دوز 25/0، 5/0 و 1 میلیگرم بر کیلوگرم در عضلهی سینهای تزریق شد.  با وقوع علایم مربوط به مسمومیت (تشنج و یا ایست تنفسی) انفوزیون لیدوکائین قطع و کل دوز لیدوکائین تجویز شده محاسبه میشد.  در گروه I، واکنش تشنج در زیر گروه نرمال سالین در دوز 0/13±0/38 میلیگرم بر کیلوگرم و در سه زیرگروه دیگر ایست تنفسی (بدون بروز تشنج)، به ترتیب در دوزهای 4/12±1/36، 3/15±9/39 و 1/9±1/37 میلیگرم بر کیلوگرم رخ داد.  همچنین در گروه II، واکنش تشنج در زیر گروه نرمال سالین در دوز 8/4±4/23 میلیگرم بر کیلوگرم و در سه زیرگروه دیگر ایست تنفسی (بدون رخداد تشنج)، به ترتیب در دوزهای 8/3±1/31، 8/3±3/31 و 3/5±2/28 میلیگرم بر کیلوگرم مشاهده شد.  پرندگانی که لیدوکائین را با سرعت پایینتری دریافت نموده بودند، واکنش مسمومیت را به صورت معنیداری در دوزهای بالاتری نشان دادند.  بر پایهی نتایج حاصل از این مطالعه، در انفوزیون وریدی لیدوکائین با سرعت پائینتر، میدازولام مرغها را در برابر واکنش تشنج ناشی از مسمومیت با داروی بیحسی لیدوکائین محافظت نمود، اما تأثیری در تغییر آستانهی مسمومیت نداشت.}, keywords_fa = {میدازولام,لیدوکائین,مسمومیت,ماکیان}, url = {https://www.ivj.ir/article_125882.html}, eprint = {https://www.ivj.ir/article_125882_e0eb01ba739b3b6249fd3ad8d78b2b1f.pdf} }
