The musculature of the esophagus causes its movement. The muscle content of the esophagus has been studied in different species and showed notable differences. The information about muscle content in wild species is scant. Therefore, two Persian leopards were used in this investigation. After euthanizing, esophagus of each animal was removed. The samples were fixed in 10 % neutral buffered formalin. The tissues were routinely processed for light microscopy and embedded in paraffin. The paraffin blocks were cut into 5-7 µm sections and stained by hematoxylin-eosin and masson’s trichrome. The results showed that muscularis mucosa which made up of a smooth muscle was appeared from the caudal half of the esophagus as scattered fibers and became gradually thicken toward the caudal part of the esophagus. Tunica muscularis with internal circular and external longitudinal muscle layers which were separated with connective tissue have been seen in the beginning of esophagus. From the beginning of the second half of the esophagus, smooth muscle fibers were observed between the internal circular striated muscles and then gradually increased to be completely substituted with smooth muscle in caudal fourth part of the esophagus. Finally, in gastroesophageal junction, the longitudinal muscle was also substituted with smooth muscle and the smooth muscle of the esophagus continued to the stomach. This study is the first description of the histomorphological features of the esophagus of the leopard showed noticeable differences in type and arrangement of muscles within esophageal wall of this species in comparison with that of other mammals.}, keywords = {Persian leopard,esophagus,histomorphology,muscle content}, title_fa = {مطالعه هیستومورفولوژی محتوای عضلانی مری در پلنگ ایرانی (Panthera pardus saxicolor)}, abstract_fa = {    مری بخشی از لولهی گوارشی است که در انتقال مواد غذایی از حفرهی دهانی به معده نقش دارد.  عضلات مری منجر به حرکات دودی آن میشود.  محتوای عضلانی مری در گونههای مختلف مورد بررسی قرار گرفته و تفاوتهای قابل ملاحظهای را نشان داده است.  اطلاعات در مورد محتوای عضلانی مری در حیوانات وحشی اندک است.  در این تحقیق از دو پلنگ ایرانی استفاده شد.  پس از آسانکشی حیوانات، جداسازی مری صورت گرفت.  نمونهها در فرمالین بافر 10 درصد ثابتسازی شدند و پس از انجام مراحل آمادهسازی بافت برای مطالعهی میکروسکوپ نوری قالبهای پارافینی تهیه شد.  برشهای بافتی به ضخامت 7-5 میکرومتر تهیه و با استفاده از هماتوکسیلین-ائوزین و تریکروم ماسون رنگآمیزی شدند.  نتایج نشان داد که لایهی عضلهی مخاطی از نیمهی دوم مری به صورت رشتههای عضلانی صاف پراکنده نمایان و به تدریج به طرف انتهای مری به صورت نوار کامل عضلانی درمیآید.  طبقهی عضلانی به صورت دو لایهی عضلانی حلقوی داخلی و طولی خارجی دیده میشود که به وسیلهی بافت همبندی از هم جدا شدهاند و از ابتدای مری قابل مشاهده هستند.  از شروع نیمهی دوم مری، رشتههای عضلهی صاف در بین رشتههای عضلانی لایهی عضلانی حلقوی داخلی مشاهده و به تدریج بر تعداد رشتههای عضلانی صاف افزوده میشود.  نهایتاً در ناحیهی یک چهارم انتهایی مری، عضلهی حلقوی داخلی کاملاً از رشتههای عضلانی صاف تشکیل میشود.  عضلهی طولی خارجی در محل اتصال مری-معدی به صورت عضلهی صاف دیده شده و به داخل عضلهی صاف جدار معده ادامه مییابد.  این مطالعه اولین مطالعهی هیستومورفولوژی مری در پلنگ میباشد و تفاوتهای قابل ملاحظهای در نوع و نحوهی آرایش عضلات جدار مری این گونه و سایر پستانداران مشاهده شد.}, keywords_fa = {پلنگ ایرانی,مری,هیستومورفولوژی,محتوای عضلانی}, url = {https://www.ivj.ir/article_45992.html}, eprint = {https://www.ivj.ir/article_45992_f396ea2a7bf10d93755ae8a284e634ca.pdf} }
