These drugs are employed for sedation and premedication in small animals. The present study aimed to investigate the effects of medetomidine and dexmedetomidine alone and in combination with acepromazine on sedation, cardiovascular function and electrocardiography in dogs. Sixty dogs were randomly divided into four equal groups. The dogs received one of the treatments of medetomidine (10 μg/kg), dexmedetomidine (5 μg/kg), medetomidine (10 μg/kg) with acepromazine (0.05 mg/kg) and dexmedetomidine (5 μg/kg) with acepromazine (0.05 mg/kg) intramuscularly. Sedation levels, heart rate, non-invasive arterial blood pressure, respiratory rate, body temperature and electrocardiogram were carefully recorded in dogs up to 20 minutes after administration. Sedation scores were significantly higher in groups of medetomidine with acepromazine and dexmedetomidine with acepromazine, at 5 and 20 minutes in comparison to groups of medetomidine and dexmedetomidine alone. Comparison of sedation scores in each group showed a significant increase over time. The comparison of heart rate, within the groups, showed a significant decrease when compared with the baseline value. The respiratory rate showed a decreasing trend in all groups over time. The amplitude of the P wave decreased and the P-R and Q-T intervals increased during the evaluation period in all groups. Sinus arrhythmia, AV-block grade 1, and sinus arrest were seen after the administration of sedative drugs in all groups. In conclusion, it is inferred that the addition of acepromazine to medetomidine and dexmedetomidine increases the sedation level. Heart rate decreased in medetomidine and dexmedetomidine groups and the addition of acepromazine exacerbated this decrease. The combination of acepromazine with medetomidine and dexmedetomidine did not also reduce the occurrence of arrhythmias in the dog.}, keywords = {Acepromazine,Medetomidine,dexmedetomidine,Cardiovascular function,Dog}, title_fa = {بررسی اثرات آرام‌بخشی مدتومیدین، دکسمدتومیدین و ترکیب آن‌ها با آسپرومازین بر عملکرد قلبی عروقی در سگ}, abstract_fa = {    مدتومیدین و دکسمدتومیدین، دو داروی جدید آگونیست آلفا-2 هستند که جهت کاربرد در بیهوشی دامپزشکی، در دسترس میباشند.  این داروها، جهت ایجاد اثرات آرامبخشی و پیشبیهوشی در حیوانات خانگی کاربرد دارند.  هدف از انجام مطالعهی حاضر، ارزیابی اثرات مدتومیدین و دکسمدتومیدین به تنهایی و در ترکیب با آسپرومازین، بر آرامبخشی، عملکرد قلبی عروقی و الکتروکاردیوگرافی در سگها بود.  شصت قلاده سگ، به صورت تصادفی به 4 گروه مساوی تقسیم شدند.  سگها یکی از درمانهای مدتومیدین (µg/kg 10)، دکسمدتومیدین (µg/kg 5)، مدتومیدین (µg/kg 10) همراه با آسپرومازین (mg/kg 05/0) و دکسمدتومیدین (µg/kg 5) همراه با آسپرومازین (mg/kg 05/0) را دریافت نمودند.  میزان آرامبخشی، ضربان قلب، فشار خون سرخرگی غیر تهاجمی، تعداد تنفس، دمای بدن و الکتروکاردیوگرام، تا زمان 20 دقیقه بعد از تجویز، با دقت در سگها اندازهگیری شدند.  نمرات آرامبخشی در گروههای مدتومیدین همراه با آسپرومازین و دکسمدتومیدین همراه با آسپرومازین، در دقایق 5 و 20 تزریق، در مقایسه با گروههای مدتومیدین و دکسمدتومیدین به تنهایی، به صورت معنیداری بالاتر بود.  مقایسهی نمرات آرامبخشی در هر گروه، افزایش معنیدار آن را در طول زمان نشان داد.  مقایسهی ضربان قلب، در داخل گروهها، کاهش معنیدار آن را نسبت به زمان پایه نشان داد.  تعداد تنفس در همهی گروهها یک روند کاهشی را نشان داد.  ارتفاع موج P، در طول زمان کاهش یافت و فواصل P-R و Q-T در همهی گروهها، در طول زمان افزایش یافت.  در تمامی گروهها، آریتمی سینوسی، بلوک قلبی درجهی یک و ایست سینوسی، پس از تزریق داروهای آرامبخش، مشاهده شدند.  در قسمت نتیجهگیری، این طور استنباط میشود که اضافه نمودن آسپرومازین به مدتومیدین و دکسمدتومیدین، میزان آرامبخشی را افزایش میدهد.  تعداد ضربان قلب در گروههای دریافتکنندهی مدتومیدین و دکسمدتومیدین کاهش یافت و اضافه نمودن آسپرومازین، این روند کاهشی را تشدید کرد.  همچنین استفاده از ترکیب آسپرومازین با مدتومیدین و دکسمدتومیدین، رخداد بروز آریتمیها را در سگ کاهش نداد.}, keywords_fa = {آسپرومازین,مدتومیدین,دکسمدتومیدین,عملکرد قلبی عروقی,سگ}, url = {https://www.ivj.ir/article_128904.html}, eprint = {https://www.ivj.ir/article_128904_a19de3d68768c3bcf4a94c99c5eef4c4.pdf} }
